Medical Waste In Prescription Drugs
What Can Be Done To Stop It?
Each year in America, we spend over $163 BILLION DOLLARS on pharmacy-related waste due to patient behavior. This money is paid by Insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, State health plans, and individuals and ultimately, YOU in the form of taxes and higher insurance premiums. Much of this cost could be avoided by more education on health behaviors and lifestyle and patient adherence.
Our speaker, Bryan Muehlberger, Director, Research & New Solutions for Express Scripts, Inc. will identify these areas of pharmacy waste, what Express Scripts is doing, and how we can all participate, to encourage individual behaviors that reduce the waste and can lead to a healthier lifestyle for us all.
Please join us for this timely and information filled meeting. Lunch is included.
